This morning Calvin woke up 30 minutes later than usual...or so I thought! Was it worth the extra 30 minutes of sleep? I'm still trying to decide.

I went in the boys room to get Calvin out of his crib before he woke Landon up and WOW did I get a surprise.

I had used a black Sharpie yesterday to label a bag of clothing I put away of Landon's that he doesn't fit in anymore, and absentmindedly, I must have left the marker on their dresser where Cal could reach it. This was my "Good morning" SURPRISE!

This is what I saw 1st.

Then, I saw it on his 3 blankets he had in his crib with him. I picked him up out of his crib realized how bad it really was. I took him to Jared and asked him to hold him. I was so upset, I began to cry. I was so frustrated with myself and him, I didn't know what to do.

He and I just sat on the couch for a while and then I realized that it's times like these (in the future) that you wish you had pictures. As frustrated as I was I began taking pictures which helped me to realize that one day I will laugh about it. I think what frustrated me the most is the hard work and effort I put into his cute little sailboat blanket, for it to be "personalized" by him so fast.

Every bar on the inside of his crib had a nice little scribble on them.

Jared got the dresser and crib sparkling clean by using, believe it or not, toothpaste with baking soda and an old toothbrush. The Magic Eraser didn't even touch it compared to the toothpaste. The wall still has some on it and the blankets.....well, I'm still working on those. At the moment the ink is now blue instead of black. I have pretty much accepted the fact that it will NOT come out.

A few projects...

For some reason I am thinking life as I know it ends after baby #3 so I am trying to get all my "projects" done before then...but for some reason, as I finish 1 item, 3 more have been added to the list. I'm beginning to wonder if I will be successful at this rate.

Here are a few of the projects I have completed along with some fun pics of the boys!

Matching sailboat quilts for the boys (which I started FOREVER ago) and fish pillows to go along with. Landon's blanket has blue outline around the sailboats while Calvin's has green. (Basically the only way to tell them apart) and the fish on the pillows have coordinating eye colors; blue and green. (their names are also on the back of the pillows)

While purchasing the piping for the pillows above, Landon saw this shark fabric and REALLY wanted it. I bought some and made him a little apron out of it, since he's getting a too big for the one he has. He loves to put his apron on and help me make bread.

We received this little toddler bed from my Sister-in-law, which came in handy when we were out of our house during the BIG construction. Now that we are having another baby, we need a crib and I asked Landon if he would be willing to move to another bed and give his bed up to Calvin, who would be giving his crib up for the baby. The only way I could get him to change beds was if I painted his "new" bed darker blue. So I have painted it blue (which once was white), sanded it down to antique it, and then applied a glaze to finish it off. I'm not sure about how it turned out yet, but Landon was so excited he came home from school and climbed right into it! I didn't get any close up pics beause I'm not real sure about how it turned out and plus my camera is being really fuzzy that the ones I did take turned out horrible--this project brings with it another project--repaint their room!

Calvin was even pretty excited about it. He played on it the whole time Landon was at school.

This is how I have been keeping up on the dishes, so that I have time to do my fun projects. But...don't forget, you must have your snow boots on in order to do the dishes!

Calvin and I went out shopping today. He insisted that he walk and carry our goods while I push an empty stroller.

30 Years already?

Happy 30th Birthday to me! I can not believe I'm 30. Boy how time goes by.

I had a wonderful day spent with my little family I've made, and later in the day, my extended family.

I must mention my most favorite gift of the day had to be my boys' hair cuts. Landon hates to get his hair cut, so I asked him if he would let me cut his hair for my birthday and he was a very good sport about it. -I still would say he HATES to get his hair cut.

Calvin did very well, he just sat there quietly and didn't even move.

The other day I went down stairs to start a load of laundry in my new "basement" laundry room and this is what I came back upstairs to...a laundry basket (that I had just emptied) full of two cute boys!

As I mentioned above, I have a new laundry room in the basement. The old laundry room is being turned into the Nursery for baby #3! I have 4 weeks until my "due date" I guess we probably should get going on the nursery. This week for FHE we worked a little on it as a family. (I''m sure we were more a hindrance than a help, but the boys had the time of their life thinking they were helping build the room for their baby sibling)

I really think the boys are excited to get a new baby whether it's a boy or a girl. (Although Landon could tell you otherwise-he absolutely knows its a boy and does NOT want a little sister!) They will be such great, BIG Brothers.

So here are a few things we have done so far this year...that have been captured on film.

I was doing the laundry one day and Landon INSISTED that he lay on the washing machine and take a little "rest"-doesn't look too comfy!

We love blueberry smoothies...especially when we are wearing white shirts! Chip-ees are always a great snack. We went to Kangaroo Zoo for Cole's 5th birthday and had a blast!

We then went to the Hogle Zoo at the end of February and Landon kept asking "what zoo?"

He was very disappointed when he learned that the Hogle Zoo was not the Kangaroo Zoo!

These boys' favorite thing to do in the morning...watch a "show" on Daddy's phone.

We played out in the snow and built a snowman that didn't even last through the day.

For some reason all children that come to our house, love these glasses. I couldn't leave this photo out.

This is a photo of one of my projects I finished. I have nicely organized my closet. Keep in mind the BEFORE was my closet, with Jared's stuff shoved and crammed in so the house construction could be completed.

Another one of my projects that I completed was the Laundry room...the old Laundry room. I got it organized and in shape to have a smooth flowing laundry process. I LOVED it! It was great...but now the Laundry room is down in the basement and right now it is chaos! I guess I shouldn't have wasted my time, but it was great for the few months that it lasted, plus how was I to know it was going to end up downstairs.

I guess I should mention the reason why the Laundry room has been moved downstairs. We have decided to turn the "old laundry room" into a nursery.

We are having baby #3!

whether it's a boy or a girl, we do not know. We will find out May 19th (or sometime around there- depending when the little babe decides to enter this world). We are very excited!! It sure seems like time is flying by and like we are running out of time to get all of our "projects" done before this wee little one arrives.

Ok so I have failed at blogging for the most part of the 2010 year. I am hoping to be better at it this year and I am going to start with a recap of 2010.

January= Happy New Year 2010-who knew this year would bring so much to our family. Jared's trip to New Orleans.

February= My first photo shoot with my new Christmas camera. (Landon was napping so he got left out)
March= begin house construction move in with Grandma Susan,Grandpa Boompa, Heather, Colette, Cole, Hallie, and Eli. It was a FULL house! (I had pre construction pictures of our house, but I can not find them ANYWHERE-so frustrating)Our house on the move!
April= House still under construction, my 29th birthday, and Easter
May= House still under construction. Long needed vacation to Disneyland, Sea World, and our favorite- the beach.

June= We moved home, construction sill everywhere, and Calvin's first birthday!

Following are the effects of moving a house. I would say every wall in the house has at least 2-3 large cracks like these. Little did we know that we would have to re-do almost everything in the house:

We went with Papa to see the trains. October= Wheeler Farm fun, Our trip to New York City, Our Halloween Party with the fam, and Remmington our new puppy!

We finally had our family pictures taken! We went to Wheeler Farm and the boys had a ball. They loved climbing on the tractors and enjoyed seeing the animals.

We HEART our photographer. Her name is Heather from Gardner Photography. She was very cute and patient with the boys. She worked very hard to get the photos that I specifically wanted and then she was quite creative herself. I love the end result. We got TONS of pictures and 3 different styles in each photo. (I have only posted the colored ones) She does high contrast color, muted colors, black and white, and sepia. The turn around time was very quick. Did I mention, I love 'em?

Anyway, take a look yourself and notice what a HAM my little Landon is. (I posted a lot of his funny pictures)

We got a new cabinet in our kitchen and the boys were breaking it in for me!

This weekend we went to the cabin, which the boys absolutely loved. Before we left, I took Cal to the Dr to check if his ear infection was cleared up (he had been kind of cranky for a few days and he had a fever). The Dr said everything was okay; ears healthy and throat good; and to just keep giving him Tylenol and Motrin for his fever.

So we went up to the cabin with our medicine and plans to have a great weekend with family. While we were there, Cal continued to have his fever, sometimes worse than others. On Sunday, his temperature dropped back to normal. YAY! Then he developed a rash all over his body and face. It turns out that he has Enterovirus which is a summer time virus, with no special treatment. It just needs to run its course. Once the rash shows up, they are usually on the mend--Hooray for Calvi. (and me) So here's the catch: the age range for people who are at high risk is 1-3 yr olds, although anyone can get it. The virus is contagious only when the child is experiencing fevers. Well... that is a bit of information I would prefer to know BEFORE we spent the whole weekend with a bunch of toddlers and family.

Calvi is doing better now, but he still is cranky. He still has the rash, but each day is getting better. I sure hope no one in our family comes down with this, it is not pleasant. Sorry guys, good luck to you and your families.

Swimming lessons

Today was our first day of swimming lessons. Landon has been so excited to take a swimming class. He did great. His class has 4 children in it and they are all his cousins. It was so cute to watch them learn and play together. We are looking forward to the next few classes with them!

Last night we went to the SSL city fireworks, something we look forward to every year! I am always excited to visit and catch up with all the people I haven't seen for a while...about a year. This year I didn't see very many, those who I saw it was good to see you and those who I usually see and didn't-I miss ya and hope you are doing well-maybe next year. We did, however, sit in a different area so maybe that is why, anywho, here are a few pics of the evening!

My Dad was sweet and let us borrow ear muffs because my children are not a fan of how loud the fireworks are. Landon, wasn't a fan of the fireworks at all- he first made Jared cover his eyes and then he watched from underneath his blanket. Silly guy!

The SSL city parade this morning. I can not believe how much candy my boys got. I have never seen that much candy at a parade!---Landon was such a fan of the ear muffs he practically slept in them. We had to wear them because the sirens were loud at the parade.

We love Grandma's house!

Here are a few pictures of the fun we have been having while staying at Grandma Susan's house.

Look how quickly moods can change when posing kids for a picture. The top picture is the children getting on the swing, getting ready for the picture. The bottom picture is how they ended up after I snapped a few quick pictures.

We went and got family haircuts at cookie cutters. The kids had a blast! (Even though Landon HATES the clippers.) Hallie sat in the pink car, Cole rode on the motorcycle, and Landon rode in the airplane.

We play dress up and run around the house shooting the "Z's" on the walls.

Well...I decided since Calvin is now 10 months old, I should probably put a picture of our family on here. It's not the best, but it shows us as "us" so I couldn't pass it up! Enjoy...it will probably be there for a while.

It has been quite interesting to see the process of moving a house and digging a basement. The neighbors seemed to think so too! I know it's not the best picture, but it's all I had. I didn't even think about taking a picture of the audience we acquired. It was pretty neat to see all of the neighbors that were interested and would come and watch, especially when the house was being moved.

When the house was moved, it was done on these little wheels. It actually went really fast once everything was in place; it took about 2-3 minutes.

If you haven't already heard or seen by now, we are moving our house to the back yard while we have a basement put in. I have a lot of great pictures I want to share, but unfortunately the software I need to work with the pictures, is in my house, which is about 6 feet off the ground. So, I do not have any I can share at the moment... except for these ones I had on my phone:

There has been quite a bit more done since these pictures. Today the house movers moved the house back above the new foundation and tomorrow they will be lowering and securing the house into place. It has been 4 weeks today since our project started. Things have actually gone quite smoothly. I must also say that I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Fitts/Buttars home. I love waking up and having breakfast with my cute Nephews and Niece and my sweet boys.

Can't wait for the final results!

2009 Wrap Up

To start off our holiday season, we had a beautiful Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is usually a big deal, but this year my in-laws went all out!. There were dinner menus with coordinating decorations, place settings, chargers, candles, fine china each wrapped with a beautiful ribbon, a family slide show and many other things that I am sure I am forgetting. I wish I had a picture to show how elaborate it was. It was one of the best we've had.

Looking back, I now know why it was so elaborate and special. Our brother-in-law, Brian, passed away the day after. He loved food. It would only seem right for him to experience the best Thanksgiving feast before he departed.

We celebrated Jared's 28th birthday, December 30th, and this was the first time that Jared can remember that he didn't have to work that day. Thanks Wendover!

Well I guess it's off to a new year and a new start. I have many New Year's resolutions lets hope they don't take up too much of my time so I can keep up on our Blog.

The weather hasn't been the best these past few days and I am not looking forward to what that means. Anyway, my boys and I were spending the day indoors while it was snowing and raining outside. While running out of things to do to occupy our time, and I had had ENOUGH of "mouse" I decided to try my hand at photography. Here are a few of the pictures I took. We were invited to Christian's 5th birthday party. They rented a bounce house for all the kids. We went a little early before the party started so the two boys could jump together. It was so fun to watch them jump around. I wish I had a quarter of their energy!

While Lanny and Christian were having a blast burning up their energy in the bounce house, Cal was taking a snooze. How would it be to sleep anytime you want with out a care of what is going on around you?

If you notice, under his arm (the rust colored thing) is Landon's Mater toy. I wish you could see what was under his other arm too (even more toys). He is usually the designated toy carrier. Before we leave the house, Landon will gather up the toys he absolutely can not live with out for one moment, and tosses them in Cal's car seat for him to carry. I guess his "little brother" duties have already started :)

What is so special about 09/09/09?

Well, only once in a lifetime will you ever see this day. What a special day. Today is even more special to some of us than others.

5 years ago today, I married the man of my dreams!

If you asked me 5 years ago where I would be now, I definitely would not have said I'd be here. I am in a much better place than I ever thought possible. I have an amazing husband that I fall in love with more and more every day. I have two beautiful boys that I also fall in love with more and more every day. I have a wonderful house that provides a great home for us. I have a loving family and friends. There are so many more things in my life that I am grateful for and didn't think I'd have, but on this special day I want to recognize my best friend! I love you babe and these last 5 years have been the best of my life, I look forward to many more, even an eternity with you!

Finally here is the update everyone has been waiting for! This is the adorable reason why our blog has been forgotten! If you read the last entry, the fam was great and I was just waiting for this cute little babe to be born. Little did I know thata few hours later would be the start of yet another exciting trip to the hospital!

I just realized that I have not updated for a very long time. If I don't do it now, it might not happen 'til who knows when! Here are a few pics of Lanny's first trip to the Aquarium. We went with Heather, Christian, and Kaylee. He had a ball!! He loves fish and sharks. He still enjoys watching Nemo, but luckily he doesn't wake up in the middle of the night asking for it now. He also really enjoys watching Shark Tale, which he calls "Lenny" and that is what he calls all sharks. Overall it was a blast and I can't wait 'til we go again.

Most of these pics are the backs of their heads, but at least you can see the interest they had in the exhibits. I forgot to mention his favorite part, as I'm sure it is any kids; playing in the water. You can actually touch the Sting Rays, but Lanny's arms were too short so he just played in the water.

A little update on the fam:

Lanny is growing and learning so much everyday I can not believe my eyes or ears. He is using sentences and communicating very well. He is a lil dare devil. He is not afraid of anything, sometimes he does things his 4 year old cousin won't do. He is getting excited for the baby to come, as far as I can tell. He points to all the baby stuff and says "baby", so atleast he knows there is a baby coming, whether he will enjoy it or not that's for us to find out.

Jare is working hard at work, home, and the cabin. He has been a great help with me these last few weeks and my pregnancy. I think next week I will officially put him on "light duty" at work, around the house, and everywhere he goes. (If you don't know the story of Lanny's birth, you should read it-then you would understand the "light duty" requirement.) (It is the post made Tuesday March 4 2008 The Story of Landon)

As for me, I'm still here waiting for this babe to come. I have 17 days 'til my due date. I am doing great, just experiencing a little Gastric Reflux-which I never had with Lanny- so if you have ever experienced this, I'm sure you feel for me when I have to bend over and pick up toys off the floor. Not so pleasant. Other than that things are great, baby's growing and measuring healthy! We'll keep ya posted.

Saturday the weather was great! We set up the pool and invited some of the cousins over to swim with us. We had a lot of fun playing in the water and sandbox then we finished up with a frozen treat. Thanks for coming everyone!

For Mother's Day, Jared built me this really nice fence that made our back yard much bigger. He also moved the sandbox to a better location. We love having it so close to our back door. We actually use it a lot more! (I'd probably say everyday) Thanks babe for the great back yard! This is how we spent our Memorial Day weekend, gettin' dirty!

We are so glad that summer is almost here! We love to play in the water. Saturday was a NiCe day so Jare got the pool out for us. We had so much fun playing together in the water. I can't believe how much Lanny has grown since the last time we played in the pool. This summer he is going to keep me on my toes. They really do grow like weeds!

This is not my most favorite pic of myself, but I told you all I would post one of my belly so here it is. In this picture I am 33 weeks along. Only 7 weeks to go! (I don't know how I feel about that...am I ready for this?)

The Fountain

One of our favorite ways to play in the water. Only last year Landon just sat in it and chewed on rocks with a little splashing here and there. This year, he is climbing it and giving me a heart attack! He climbs so fast that he's half way up before I can get him down again. At least he is having a ball and enjoying himself. Thanks for the great fountain Daddy!

Ok so the truth is....I needed some space in my freezer. I always put our old bread and the ends of the loafs in the freezer to save for that "someday we can feed the ducks". Well, it turns out I had 3 loaf bags full of frozen bread! I defrosted it and we made a day of it.

I packed a lunch for Christian, Landon, and myself and we ate at the pavillion. The boys thought that was so much fun. After lunch, Grandpa met us there and fed the ducks with us. We also had a surprise guest join us. Jared was actually able to take a lunch break and he met us there too. He couldn't stay long, but it was a nice surprise.

Usually when we feed the ducks, they can't get enough and it's all we can do to get the bread to them fast enough. Not today. Either someone must have gone through the park with a bread machine before us or the ducks were fasting, because they had no interest what-so-ever in our bread. At first I was sad and thought about saving the bread for another day, but then I realized that it was mainly the action of throwing the bread into the river (or on the bank-Lanny) that the boys liked. Plus the thought of storing that much bread again--NO WAY!

Also, there are not many photos, because boys will be boys and of course they couldn't get close enough so I spent the whole time trying to keep them from falling in the river! We had a great time and I can't wait to go again. Hopefully it is before there is 3 bags of bread! I must admit I enjoy the extra space in my freezer! Thanks for joining us Grandpa and Jare!

When we got home, Lanny napped while Christian and I played outside all afternoon. He had a long day and was worn out. I think he sat down for maybe 5 or 10 minutes and he was out. Poor guy. Doesn't look comfy to me at all!

Happy Easter!

Easter Morning. He was so excited to see his things.

For Easter, GG (Great Grandma to Landon) did a huge Easter Egg hunt for the kids. (Pretty much Landon and Christian) Of course she had things for her grand kids hidden, but it was mostly for the two boys. She certainally spoiled them. Landon sure had a blast finding the eggs. You could obviously see the ones she hid for him, but he wasn't going for those ones, they were to easy to find. He was going for the ones you would think he wouldn't be able to find. I had to pick up the ones that were hidden in plain sight for him. He got a McQueen car and Mater truck from his cousin that he WILL NOT put down and we can't go anywhere without them. Thanks little C!Again, we love the sun and warm weather. I couldn't get over these nerdy sunglasses! He actually left them on so I was quite excited. Also we love our Superbowl mats they work great for when Mom needs to sit in the sand and dig too! Thanks U.S. Novelty www.usnovelty.com & Ziggos www.ziggos.com for the glasses and mats, we really appreciate them! Girl Scouts field trip to the Panetarium. Afterwards Abigail bought us all suckers with crickets in them. The girls were more brave then me and ate their suckers. I don't know if they ate the crickets or not because at that point the girls had gone home. I certainaly didn't.This is Landon I was getting ready for the day. He found a nice place to play! We love our toy box, thanks Grandma and Grandpa.
And yet, another Girl Scout field trip to the rehabilitation center. It was a lot of fun and I think the girls and residents really enjoyed it.

Yay! Jared fixed my computer and now I can post the long awaited photo of Baby Fitts! Actually I put the disc in and there was only 2 pics on it, quite disappointing, anyway here is one for you to view. It is an ultrasound photo of the face. I certainally hope it comes out a little more attractive than this scary picture! And one of these days, if you're lucky, I'll post a pic of what I look like with the baby inside my belly!

Plans for the 4th of July?

I don't know how many of you know, but we are expecting your second child on the 4th of July! How appropriate for a fun, Patriotic, fire-work lovin family! We'll see if it really happens--Landon came 6 days early. As for now we are preparing for this little one to come into our lives and we are so excied!!

Any guesses?

Who knows! We have decided to wait until the 4th of July to find out ourselves. Here are a few pics of my ultrasound that I had at 18 weeks (4.5 months), which now I am 25 weeks (about 6.5 months) along, so it has been a while. What can I say I am a slacker!!

Spring or Winter?

I woke up this morning and was not so fond of what I saw...SNOW! I enjoy the snow, but since we have been having such good weather it's hard to go back to snow. Anyway here are a few pics of the boys playing outside last week in the nice weather. Grandpa brought them squirt bottles over and they were entertained forever! I had to pry them away for nap time. Thanks Gramps! We look forward to having days like these again soon.

Landon's favorite is to squirt it in his mouth, so by the end of playing with it he is drenched and needs his clothes changed.

Hopefully this little bit of water will help my grass grow!!

Nemo

I just wanted to post a little update since it has been so long.
Landon's favorite movie is Finding Nemo. We have watched it several times over the past few weeks. When he first wakes up in the morning he says "fishies" and points to the television. That is all he ever wants to do.

So the other night he woke up at like 1:30 just crying. I couldn't get him calmed down and so Jared tried. He just kept crying and pointing to the door of his room. So Jare put him down on the floor and let him show us what he wanted.
Yep! You guessed it, he walked right into the Living room, pointed to the television, and said "fishies". Oh my! no way! We are not watching Nemo at 1:30 in the morning! Needless to say, he was not happy when he found that out.

This has happened twice now. Hopefully we have broken the habbit of watching Nemo everyday because this week we have been playing outside more and not watching Nemo. I certainally hope this helps with the desire to watch it at 1:30 in the morning!

Landon has been having a really rough day today. I don't know if he's getting sick, getting teeth, or just unhappy. He has been a pill all day long. Jare and I layed him down for a nap after church thinking that would make it all better, but.....45-60min later he woke up crying, crying, crying. Poor little guy. Finally after we tried for several minutes to put him back to sleep, singing to him, rubbing his back, laying by him; we decided to just let him get up.

I was in the middle of making cookies for dessert tonight and of course he wanted one. So he got one....I mean two! This made his day for a little while and then the evening he was back to his ornry slump. Hopefully a good night's rest will cure it!

*If you notice, I asked him to stay in the kitchen to eat his cookie, and he did(he went as far as he absolutely could before entering the living room). What a smart little guy!

Spring Fever anyone?

The weather has been so great outside I love it and can't wait for Spring! The boys and I have been spending a lot of time out there enjoying the sun! We even had a pic-nic in the front yard. Here are a few pics.

Christian really wanted to dig in the dirt and kept asking for a shovel. The snow just melted so I had no idea where my garden tools were so I got the next best thing....kitchen tools!! --Yes those are my Tulips and Daffodils coming up.

I was pulling weeds while they were playing so I had a rug to kneel on because the grass was a little wet. Then Christian absolutely needed to have one and he insisted the Landon have one too. It's a good thing I have 3 green rugs! (So we could all be alike)

I know it's been a while, very sorry. This post will be long because there are quite a few photos I would like to post.

Happy Valentine's Day!! I made brownies and the boys decorated them. The each got a large one, a medium one, and a bite size one to frost. I looked away for a second and when I looked back, Landon's bite size one was no where to be found, except there were traces of it at the corners of his mouth! And I don't think he understood to decorate them and not eat them. Oh yes, and he kept eathing the spoon of icing instead of putting it on his brownies!

We had some errands to run so we grabbed Grandpa to go along with us and we ate lunch together at Mc Donald's. I'm glad my Dad was with me I don't think I would have attempted it on my own. I don't know how you Mom's of more than one do it! (I guess I better get used to it pretty soon huh?)

For Family Home Evening this week, we decided to take a trip to the pet store. I was so excied to show Landon all the different animals. He loved every minute of it! It was so cute to see how excited he got with all of them. We didn't end up staying long because Jared is allergic to some animals and his allergies started to bother him. We had a great time while we were there! Maybe some day we'll be able to have a fish!

These are my two "Koda Dogs" licking the H2O off the table. Koda is the name of Christian's dog and he always wants to pretend he is Koda. He likes to pretend Landon is Koda too.

Valentine's Day is coming up and every year I tell myself that I am going to send out little love notes/cards. Well, it never happens. This year I am a little more on top of it. The boys and I made some cards. (Hopefully I'll just get them in the mail now) Ok, so I had to do all the paper cutting and writing, but the boys did the rest (ie. putting everything together with double sided stickies and deciding on placement of each paper). They even did some writing themselves. Here's how it turned out.

First they are playing with the cows and bees.

If you will notice, Christian's envelope is nice and straight, while Landon's is the crumpled heap of paper just above where he is working.Here are the finished cards. They turned out pretty good. Christian was so exicited to finally be able to put his card in his envelope, along with a few scraps of paper that had "special" notes to Mom, Dad, and Koda. I could barely make sure everything was in there all the way before he had it licked and sealed.

I don't know if you can tell, but the card that Landon is pointing to; the cow's feet are pulling up off the paper.

Well, the bee's and cow's have the puffy stickers that make them stand out off the paper and Landon decided to put the 3 I gave him, on top of one another, so the cow is sticking way off the paper and probably won't be there for very long cause it's gonna fall off! I left it that way because that's what he wanted. (He also enjoyed putting the double sided stickies all clumped together as well!-sweet boy)

Caterpillars

Do you ever feel a little "bugged"? Well...we sure did when we were done with our caterpillar making! Granpa provided us with an empty egg carton and the idea to make caterpillars out of it.

Here's what we did:

To start off, Landon put his paint brush right in the paint and then directly into his mouth! His tongue and lips were white!

We painted the egg carton.

We painted the plates.
I think they were both more entertained with the paint plates then they were at painting the egg carton.

Christian had to get his plate all white before he would finish painting his caterpillar.

The finished product with a little help from Mom and Grandma. Little blue caterpillars, (with little paint on them) eating red flowers.

We had a great time working on these. Thanks for the idea Grandpa and thanks for the help Grandma!

Zoo Lights!

We went to the Zoo Lights with my Family for a little Christmas celebration. It was great! The lights were beautiful and amazing. I have never seen anything like it. It was a little cold- below freezing- poor little boys, but I do think they had the warmest seat in the group. Jesse forgot his winter things so he was probably the coldest of the group. He didn't forget his gloves, but he insisted that I wear them instead of him. (I couldn't find mine) The boys even got a little souvenir, that had to thaw before the glitter would finally float around! We had a great time and I look forward to going again next year!

Christmas Lights

We put our Christmas lights up a weekend or two ago. (I'm a little behind) Okay, okay, so Jared put them up. I am so excited because this year we actually turned them on!!!

Those of you who saw our house last year and noticed we had lights up but they were never on, well it's because the power was never run to them. When Jared went to take them down, I tried to get him to turn them on at least once so that we could say we did, but he wasn't for it. This year I told him if we were going to have lights then they needed to have power so we could turn them on. I must admit he did a GREAT job! (I mean "they" Jared had a little helper) I love 'em! Especially my little blue tree!

Landon has started this new thing where he walks around with a wipe and blows his nose. He thinks its funny, it actually kind of is, but I am glad he knows how to blow his nose. It sure helps. No more of the booger suckers! Also he has been using his Cowboy hat to carry the wipes around the house when he is not using them.

Happy Thanksgiving! I didn't get a whole lot of pictures this day.

On Saturday night Jared had the idea to take Lanny to McDonald's play place for the first time. He absolutely loved it! (As any kid would) He had such a good time. When the older kids came and started shoving Jared and telling him to crawl through the tunnels faster, we decided it was time to go. We didn't want Lanny to get hurt. I must admit that Lanny did really good when we left. He didn't want to leave but there were no tantrums. Thank You!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I just want you to know that I am grateful for many, many things (I don't want to bore you with my list) but I am really grateful for my wonderful loving husband and my sweet baby boy! I don't know what I would do with out you 2. Thanks for all you do! I love you!

I FiNaLlY got the computer to cooperate, it was actually one of my pics wouldn't load, so here is the post that just needed the photos.

I totally forgot that I had pictures of the boys playing in the leaves at my house. So here are the fun pictures of us (them) playing in the leaves.

Landon got a little distracted by Shilo (my Dad's cat) Here he is, still distracted. He loves cats. Christian, once again, enjoyed throwing the leaves up into the air. Whenever a car, truck, or any type of automobile drives by, Landon loves to wave to them. So if you ever drive by and we are outside, watch for Landon's wave.

This is the night before we left to California for Kylie and Cody's wedding. If you know me, you know that I wait until the absolute last minute to get things done...well...I still needed to put the crafts and signs together for the Open House my friend was holding while we were gone and I still needed to pack Lanny, Jared, and Myself. For dinner we had taco soup and I did not need this delay at all! But figures, with my luck, it happened. I am glad to say I got the things put together everything packed and we left just in time. I only forgot my wedding ring. I know, that is kind of an important thing, but atleast I didn't forget our underwear or something like that!

Our Favorite Fall Activity!

What a thoughtful idea; my Dad raked his leaves and asked if the boys wanted to play in them. So we took him up on the offer and here's what happened:

Christian loved to throw the leaves up and watch them fall down again.

As you can see the leaves need to be raked up again.

All in all we had a great time and when we were done, Heather and I cleaned up the leaves for our Dad. Thanks for the fun time Grandpa!

Grandpa at the Zoo!

Can you believe it! We got Grandpa to the zoo.

Now that the weather has cooled down a little, my Dad agreed to go to the Zoo with us. Heather and Christian were in town, so we all went together. We really had a great time. The best thing about having a Zoo pass, you can go and leave when you want. You don't have to worry whether you saw all the animals or not, because there is always next time! We just go and when the kids

are ready to leave, we leave.

I sure enjoy spending so much time with my Dad lately. He doesn't work any more and if you didn't know, we live across the street from him and my Mom. So, any errands I need to run, I see if my Dad needs to run any and we go together. Most of the time he's helping me more than I'm helping him.

Dad, I'm glad you don't work anymore, except at trying to keep up with me and Lanny! I sure love seeing you and spending so much

time with you. Thanks!

We went the week after Halloween so the Zoo was still decorated festively. Of course we had to take full advantage of the picture opportunities.

It seems like every time I go to the Zoo I learn or see something new. This is the closest that we have ever seen the tiger. Also, I don't know if it's male or female, but whatever it is seemed to be longing for a companion. It just kept letting out this sad, moaning, cry. (Something I've never heard in my entire life and I'm sure I'll never hear it again) I didn't know they could sound like that!

Landon absolutely loved the water ball monument thing. I have never let him play in it before, but boy it was tough getting him away from it!

Halloween Parties

Landon got invited to his first Halloween party this year. -Thanks Bateman's! Christian came along with us. The boys had a blast! We searched for Halloween rubber duckies in the back yard, we ate pizza, there was a pinata, they played pin the eye on the monster and they did a ring toss on to a spider with legs pocking up. Then they decorated cupcakes. Landon just ate the candy that was supposed to go on the cupcake! These are all the pics I got-I am fired at being a good Aunt and photographer!

Where do I start? We had a lot of fun and a lot going on too! (Incase some of you haven't noticed, I enjoy looking at pictures on blogs)--so here are quite a few for you to enjoy too!--Hopefully!

Tuesday was my Dad's birthday, we won't mention the number--I'd hate to upset him! Tuesdays are also Enrichment. Angie, one of the girls on the enrichment committee, asked if I would make some cards (examples) for the ladies to make. These are a couple of the ones I made. I am quite proud of them considering how late at night it was when I actually made them.

Wednesday Christian came and spent the day with us. We had a blast. We played with TP [Previous post]. While Lanny was sleeping, Christian and I played in the sandbox-that boy sure loves that sandbox- and played in the leaves.

Thursday, I crafted a little--when do I ever not craft? Need I mention that? Anyway it happened and the big thing that happened Thursday was the replacement of the power service panel. My cute husband did it by himself! We were without power all day long, but luckily he got it finished so we could have power that night.

Friday, we went to Gardner Village to see the Witches! Christian, Becca, Jordan, and Lex went with us. Becca and I went last year with our kids and we had so much fun that we wanted to go again. This year we had so much fun and are excited to go next year....except....next year we are going to dress up! There were so many people there dressed up it made it fun! We might even have to make it a tradition. I think witches are my new favorite decoration for Halloween.

This morning, I worked so hard on the treats that I planned on bring to Grandma Tess' tonight and lo and behold, they were the worst tasting thing I have ever had! Jared said: "Bran, what's wrong with these?" It turned out the Crisco I used was expired. I was/am so frustrated. I made two batches and the first I used the last of one container of Crisco and the second I used a new container. The second batch is delicious! I wouldn't recommend using expired Crisco, not a good idea! Anyway, here is a picture of the treats I made and then threw away.

Ok so we did it. We went to the State Fair. It actually was quite fun. On our way in, after driving around trying to find a parking spot for a while, some random guy asked us if we had tickets. It turned out he had two extra tickets and so he just gave them to us. BONUS! I was going to purchase discount tickets at Smith's but didn't end up doing it before we went. I guess it's a good thing I didn't! Thank you some random guy.
Landon loved every minute of it. He especially liked when he could touch the animals. It was all we could do to keep him from trying to touch the ones he shouldn't.

For some reason Jared and I were looking forward to trying the deep fried menu. We got a deep fried PB&J sandwich and a deep fried Snickers. We figured we had to atleast try it since we were there. The PB&J sandwich wasn't too bad. I really liked how the PB was kind of melted, but other than that, I don't think I would eat it again. The Snickers on the other hand, I did not like anything about it. I had one bite and that was it! Landon really enjoyed the forks!

A Night in Midway

Jared's family had the condo for the week and so we decided, last minute, to go stay there. over the weekend. We headed up Saturday evening to spend the night. I swear it looked like we were moving because of all the stuff you have to pack for a kid! Anyway we had an enjoyable time.

My favorite part was trying to keep Landon from climbing up the kid friendly (DaNgErOuSLy StEEp) stairs. No matter what I did or how I prevented it, he had one destination in mind!

When we got the Pack-n-play set up he was so excited to climb in... and play. He jumped up and down and bounced all around for quite some time. I began to wonder what he would do at bed time. (Jump and play or go to sleep?)

We found some pretty cool toys to play with. Thanks whomever they belong to!

The most entertaining things for Landon were the remote and Daddy's phone. Boy oes he love remotes!

Just one little reminder: Don't forget to turn the lamp off!

Tuesday was $2 Tuesday at Thanksgiving Point so we decided to go see what it was all about. We had planned on going to the Museum of Ancient Life but... the line went around the building. Umm....no thanks! So we went to the little petting zoo. We rode with Jordan, Lexie, and Becca and met the other cousins there. (except the Grays, but we met up with them for lunch after) Here are a few pics. I wish I had a pic of the three kids in the back of the car, it was adorable!

Landon loved all of the animals and he wanted to touch every single one. Every time I would push the stroller close so he might be able to reach them, Jordan would start saying: "no, no, no, no..." you get the picture. So anyway, we didn't get too close.

Thursday, I got a belated birthday gift for Landon, from some of our good friends. We let Landon open it and he loved it! He has been playing with it ever since. Thanks Batemans, I just wanted you to see how much he is enjoying it!

He has however played with some other toys, but only if he could reach them from standing in his new Ball Arena tent.

Friday I was doind laundry and decided to let Lanny help me!

He's pulling the caution sticker off because I'm sure it says something about not letting small children crawl into the dryer!--and he didn't want me to know.

Go Bees!

My work, Mountain Medical Imaging Center, in Salt Lake, provided tickets for all the employees and their families to go to The Salt Lake Bees game. Bees vs. Tucson. Bees 6, Tucson 2. Way to go Bees!

At first Landon wasn't so sure about all the loud noise, but as the night went on he was fine. He even started cheering with us. We sat next to one of the Dr.'s wifes and her mom. They were very sweet to us and Landon. We also sat next to Casey and Becca and their kiddos. Boy, Jordan was so excited when he saw that Landon was there. It was fun to get together with friends(and family) outside of work and met their families.

We had a great time! Thanks Mountain Medical!

We really did have a great time and I must admit how surprised I was that Landon made it to the end of the game. We planned on leaving early because we thought he wouldn't be happy that long, but he was!

1 Whole Year!

It has been a little over 1 year since we were blessed with our little angel! Our year(and 1 month) has been filled with a lot of fun, frustration, and learning. No only for Jared and I, but for Landon as well. We have adjusted and gotten a routine(of course now that I say that it will change). Landon has been such a good baby for us, I only hope his next year he will do the same. We love being a family!

Not a lot has happened these past two weeks.-Hence the lack of posts. However, I did take Landon for his One Year check up. He is doing great. The last check up he had was at 6 months and BOY! has he grown. He went from the 30% to the 51% in weight. He is still in the 70% for height so that is good too. The sweet boy above, born at 6lbs 11oz. now weighs 23lbs. 6oz. I'm sure some of you were wondering if he would ever get chunky!

My reasoning for choosing this picture is so that we can all remember how little he was 1 year ago. Plus if you see how happy he is, then you can understand a little of what it was like when he got his 6 immunization shots. Poor little guy. Two nurses on each side of him, while I held his arms in front, gave him 3 shots in each leg. They did it this way so it would be quick. I'm sure it was, but it didn't seem like it. You should have seen the look he gave me when they poked him with the first one, and from then on...well you can only guess.

I'm glad to say that it is over and he survived. We don't need shots for another 6 months and even then there won't be as many. Thank goodness! Now we just need to hang in ther for the next two weeks and hopefully they won't affect him too much.

Clean & Dirty!

Here are a few of Landon's 1st's this summer.

The last two weeks we have been doing a lot of fun things, some of them Landon's 1st. Here is Lanny eating his first Orange Creamsicle bar.

He loved it until he realized how cold it really was!

We have been to the zoo several times, but this particular time Landon decided to point to the monkeys and try to say monkey. Every time we would see monkeys, he say the same two syllables and point. Oh! he's growing and learning so fast!

Last Wednesday we went to Steiner pool at the U of U. Landon loved the water! He was only in this float seat for a few minutes until they told us we couldn't use it. After that he just swam with me(mommy). My favorite part is when I would set him on the side of the pool so that his feet were dangling in the water, he would jump in and I would catch him! He was not afraid of the water at all!

Okay, so Jared wanted to build a huge sandbox for Landon, but I told him it needed to be done before Landon's birthday party. (so he did) I'm sad to say that his birthday came and went and we still hadn't used the sandbox.-- sorry Jare.

We went out and played in it last night after dinner and we even invited Christian to play with us. Because we knew Christian was coming, Jared found the box of G.I. Joes he bought for Landon, (before he was born) and brought them out for us to use.

Landon loved playing with his shovel. Most of the time he had it in his mouth along with all the sand that was stuck to it!

Waterfall Fun!

This is our beautiful waterfall that Jared built in our back yard. It is pondless, at my request, so that when it is not running, there is no standing water that would pose a threat to small children. There also, are a few more of my requests that he had to build into his plan. At first I didn't mind how he did it, but then I got to thinking and thought of a few things I wanted and told him what they were. He did a great job at incorporating my requests into his structural plan. When the waterfall is running it has a very relaxing sound. I love it!

We very much enjoy hanging out in our back yard. In fact I think we have eaten more meals out there, since it has been done, than in the kitchen! Jared has worked so hard and it shows.

This is Landon's first time playing in it. (Notice the left over Luau pary decorations) Of course, I had to capture it on film!

HaPpY 1st BiRtHdAy LaNdOn!

For Landon's first birthday party, we had a big Luau in our back yard! We had it decorated so good that sometimes I actually thought I was on the beach! Not really, but it looked great! I didn't get very many pictures of all the great Luau decorations, but hopefully you can imagine you are at your own Luau on the beach!

Here is all the food!

We had a little kiddie pool set up and we put a bunch of Luau rubber duckies in it and let them float around so the kiddies could play with them.

We decorated the waterfall, that Jared worked so hard on, fo soooo long (I'm glad he's done) with a Luau theme kit. It is used fish net draped along the fence, with starfish, sea shells, crabs and seahorses randomly placed on it. The left over crabs and lobsters were placed in the falls!

Some of our guests enjoying themselves. I say some because I know some of you would have my head if I put your picture on here!

We even had a special Luau dancer that did the hula on the beach!

Gifts! Landon did okay with this part, until he got his broom then I unwrapped the rest of them.

THE BROOM! Cake time! Landon wasn't real interested in playing in the cake, but we gave it another try. (He wasn't interested in my last post either) He pretty much just ate the Gold Fish crackers off the top of it.Some more of our decorations.
We had a HUGE authentic sand pile in the drive way to give an even stronger sense of being at the beach!

There were Hula girls greeting people at the door.

All in all, we had a great time. I really enjoyed hosting the big Luau party and I certainly hope the guests had as much fun. Thank you all for coming and for the great gifts you gave Landon. He loves them all. Everyday I am cleaning and re-cleaning the living room from his new toys!

Pineview

We spent last week up at Pineview Resivoir. Here are a few of the pictures of all the fun we had!

Landon got a new car seat before we left and this is how excited he was, to be in it, when I was fitting it to him.

I think we need a bigger car if we plan to go on trips like this more often!

We started our day, as usual, eating breakfast. Landon still had his mo-hawk from the night before because I actually put a little gel in it. I decided after breakfast we would give him his first hair cut! That was an adventure in itself! I showed Landon the clippers (turned on) and let him hold them before I did anything. He was intrigued with them, but the second I started to cut his hair, he was not having it! It's a good thing he was in his chair and couldn't go anywhere. I went so fast that I'm sure I missed a few strands, but overall he looks like a little boy! (It's about time huh? His hair was getting so long, I just didn't dare cut it-afraid I'd mess up or something!)

Let me remind you of my last post, as we watched the parade last weekend, Landon hated the loud noises and firecrackers. He cried. On the 3rd of July, we attended the South Salt Lake City fireworks at Granite High School. Something we do every year. Landon didn't seem to have a problem with the fireworks last year.... that's probably because he was still in my belly and the loud noises were muffled. This year however, he screamed and cried in the beginning, then Jare cradled him and he fell asleep and slept through the rest of the show. What a difference from his first reaction to the loud noises.

Then on the 4th, Landon and I went to a BBQ at my sister's, where they lit fireworks in their street for us to watch.

RuNNinG FuN!

Landon and I ran our first 5K race together! It was the South Salt Lake Navajo Hogan annual 5K run/walk. I was a little nervous to be running the whole thing pushing him, but it wasn't bad at all. We ran the whole thing and had a lot of support from my Mom and Dad, twice along the route. He loved every minute of it! We/I took first place female in my age category- way to go me!(I hate to mention, that this race was the smallest I've ever seen- so it's no wonder I placed) Anyway, we had a great time and afterwards my Mom and Dad set up some chairs for us to watch the parade(4th of July celebration on the 28th of June). Landon DID NOT like the parade. He hated all the loud noises from the trucks and the fireworks. He cried a few times and we ended up standing in the back, while our seats went empty. I don't know how he will do with the fireworks, but we are going to attempt it anyway!

Landon stayed content a little longer in his crip Sunday morning. (Longer than usual, 9:15) I thought maybe he was extra tired and slept in longer and was happier to just play. Well... I went in to get him and this is what I found! Oh my!

Ok so maybe I over-reacted when I described the poop being everywhere. It doesn't look so bad in this picture. I swear it was much worse than what you can see. He had it under his fingernails, in his hair, on his face. He had it all over his back and jammies. I should have gotten a picture, but I was more concerned about getting him cleaned up. His blaket had poop in all the little folds. There was even some on his binki. I can only guess that he got a morning snack before he got out of his crib. As much as I would like to think he didn't, he probably did.

A week of adventures!

Landon and I did a lot of fun things last week and of course I had my camera so we could blog about the fun we had!

First of all, Landon got to roast marshmallows with Grandpa in the rain!

Then we went to Fitts park with Grandpa, Heather and Christian and we fed the ducks some bread. Landon just loved to watch the ducks. I was surprised how close they came.

After we fed the ducks we played on one of the playgrounds. Landon got to go down the slide for the first time. He didn't like it so much (even though the picture shows otherwise) He wouldn't let me hold him for a while after I put him down the slide because he was afraid I would put him down the slide again.

Later in the week we went to the Hogle Zoo with Heather and Christian. Landon really enjoyed watching the elephants, until they started spraying the sea of onlookers with water. He didn't get wet, but I think the screams from the people is what scared him, because after that he would not watch the elephants any more. He just cried and cried until I took him away where he couldn't see them. It will be interesting to see if he remembers this next time we go and reacts the same.

Saturday we went up Emigration Canyon to celebrate my Aunt and Cousin's birthdays. Landon loved it! He got to play in the dirt and eat the little bark chips on the ground. Of course because everything goes in his mouth! Not to mention this cute chair he got to sit in. He just sat there and played with his little shovel.

And then on Monday of this week, we went swimming at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Grandpa filled the swimming pool for Landon and even put warm water in it from the house. Landon had a ball playing in the water until he noticed the grass, then it was all he wanted to do- Pick the grass!

We had a great time! Hopefully all our weeks can be filled with this much fun!

What to wear?

One of the things Landon does every morning, whether he is home with me or Jared, is he helps pick out his clothing for the day. Sometimes I just hand him the clothes and he holds on to them and sometimes I hold up two different things for him to chose. Which ever he grabs is what he wears. It kind of makes getting dressed a little more fun and interactive for him. Once he has his clothes, he helps carry them into the living room where we get him dressed.

Now that's another story. I'm sure it could be a comedy act to see one of us try to get him dressed as he trys to roll and scoot all over the house! Little Wigga! (BTW he's almost crawling, I'm sure by next week [when I hopefully update this] he will be crawling all over the hosue.)

Summertime!

Saturday was so warm, it felt like summer. Landon and I went to the bank, in the afternoon. I had the air conditioner on full blast because it was so warm in the car. When we got home poor Lanny was dripping with sweat, so we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house (Urry) and played in the pool. This was the first and only time Landon has been in a pool. He absolutely loved it!

Laundry and Nails

Ok so those of us in the Fitts family know it is not uncommon to find nails, screws, drill bits, etc. in the laundry. Mondays are my laundry days (and deep cleaning the kitchen, including moping the floors) so yesterday I was working away at my job. I had sorted all of the many different loads on the floor, which I always do. I had a darks pile, a lights pile and socks pile all on the floor and the rest were sorted in our neat-o sorter basket. I was working on the computer waiting to change loads (Free time- Lanny is napping). I realized there was something in the laundry room that I needed so I got up and went into the laundry room to get it, and to my surprise, I heard a funny popping sound and my foot kind of hurt. I instantly remembered the overly stuffed pocket, full of nails, in a pair of Jared's Khaki cargo shorts that I had emptied while sorting the clothes. I looked down and saw, not Khaki, but Navy. I had stepped on a pair of Jared's Navy cargo pants. Yep you guessed it right! I must have missed one nail, because his Navy pants were now nailed to my foot. Just my luck. I was very upset and frustrated, not because I stepped on the nail, but because I didn't have time or plans to deal with that. I had far better plans than spending 2 hours at the Insta-Care waiting for a dumb shot that would make my arm hurt just as bad as my foot!This picture is of my little blood trail through my kitchen on my newly mopped floor. When I saw this I was already frustrated, and it made me even more frustrated that I just started to cry. Not only do I have to take care of my foot and get a shot, but now I need to re-mop the stupid floor!

My sweet Jared felt so bad he bought me some flowers, a get well soon balloon, and some nice new cotton socks to make my feet comfy and feel better. What a sweetheart. It was not his fault, but he felt pretty bad. I must admit, so far, the second day is the worst! I'm just glad it was me now, rather than one of our kids later on.

LESSON TO BE LEARNED: Empty your pockets! or check ALL pockets before placing laundry on the floor!

I know I promised I would update this. Nothing new and exciting is going on in our family but I do have a picture or two I'd like to share.

This first picture was about two weeks ago. I decided to go for a jog and I took Landon with me. It looked so nice outside and I dressed him in a T-shirt and shorts. I made sure I packed blankets and I at least thought about a jacket for him. (But soon came to find out I forgot to actually pack it!) We got out of the car and I got everything ready and I noticed how not-so-nice it was outsied, and I realized I totally forgot his jacket. Good thing I wore one for myself, because that became his. I didn't think it would work, but it actually worked quite well. I must admit I was so glad I brought my jacket so he could have one. While I was jogging I was quite cold. Good thing Landon was warm!

This next picture is from today. We went for a walk this afternoon. I had some things to pick up from Susan's and some things to drop off at Becca's; before the little one comes! Anyway, it was a beautiful day so I figured we would just walk over there. We visited with Grandma Susan for a while and then we headed over to Becca and Jordan's. We also visited with them for a while. We headed home around 4:30 (about 1 hour past Landon's nap time) and as you can see in the picture, if you can tell, (the picture is from my phone so it's not the best) Landon didn't quite make it home for his nap. He fell asleep on the way, holding his empty bottle!

Oh! One thing I forgot to mention, Landon does not like to have hats on! I put that had on, I swear, about twenty times! I could have easily given up but I did not put sunblock on his face, so I wanted to at least try to keep the sun off him.

Speaking of Monkey Business! These are my two monkey boys! They like to hang upside down and play together with bugs and tugs. I didn't have any recent pictures to post. This one is a few months old. Look how happy they are. I found this picture while looking for another to replace, well, you know, the main picture behind our blog title. I have no idea why Jared had a problem with the old one!

Peeps Anyone?

Peeps are one of Jared's (and most of the Fitts Family, as I understand) favorite Easter candies, (besides the waxy 1lb chocolate Easter Bunny) and so I figured since he has obviously inherited the Fitts Family "Computer" gene (see picture below), then maybe he would enjoy Peeps, along with the Fitts Family. We gave him one for each hand, and I expected them to go straight into his mough (since anything and everything usually goes straight there) but not the Peeps, he just sat there and stared at them while he was squishing them like he was milking a cow. I had to actually put them in his mouth. (You can tell the longer he had them in his mouth, the more he liked them) Once he had them in his mouth, of course because they are just sugar, they started to disolve. We took pictures as fast as we could. As soon as we got the pictures, we took the Peeps from him and cleaned up his purple Smirk. He wasn't very happy with us cause he wasn't qutie done with the little, fluffy, purple balls of sugar. Yes, you guessed it! He inherited the Peeps genes.

Crazy ZZZZZZ's

Earlier this week, 7:30 am. Wednesday, Jared and I couldn't understand why Landon was still sleeping. Jared went in to check on him and he came out laughing and telling me that I had to see him. I went in to check for myself and this is how he was sleeping. Now I have known that he loves to be swaddled tight and for the blanket to be close to his face, but I never knew he liked it over his face. When I need a good night's rest maybe I should try this method!

Roseola

This past week Landon has been experiencing Roseola. It all started last Saturday when he felt warm to the touch. We took his temperature and it was 100 OH MY! So we gave him some Tylenol and kept on it every 4 hours because his temp didn't ever go down. All day Sunday we kept on the Tylenol because his temp was 102. At this point I started to get a little worried. (me worry, no way!) Late Sunday night, Landon woke up and his temperature was 102.7 (not yet 103, I know, but I'm still worried-surprise) Jared gave him a blessing and we gave him some more Tylenol. He went to bed, but woke up every two hours! His temperature slowly went down over the night. Monday morning it was 99. I was a lot more relaxed when I saw that. I called the Dr.'s office and they told me "it's not considered a fever unless it's 103 or above" and that I shouldn't worry about it. I could tell Landon was feeling a little better because I didn't have to hold him 24/7 now it was about 20/7! We go about our week and Wednesday, Landon wakes up with a red rash all over his body, poor guy! Again I called the Dr.'s office to find out if he needs to be seen. I remind them of his "elevated temperature" over the weekend and tell them that he now has a red rash all over his body. That is when the nurse told me that it was Roseola. Something I had never heard of before. It starts with a fever and then after the fever, the child breaks out with a rash. By the time the rash comes, (and you figure out what it is) they are no longer contageous. Landon is doing just fine now and I am happy to say that he is able to be sat down and play on his own now. (that right there tells me he is feeling much better!) FYI that binki he is playing with in the picture has a thermometer in it. What a big help that was! Thanks Amanda!

The Story of Landon

This is a picture of Jared and I at Sea World January 2007. I was 3 months pregnant with baby Landon!

So here's the funny story of Landon's birth. You will not believe this! He was born on Monday July 9, 2007.

The Friday before Landon was born, Jared injured his back at work and could not walk at all. I took him to the chiropractor on Saturday morning after it took 10min to get him out of the house and in the car. The chiropractor told him to rest up and take it easy over the weekend and come back in Monday morning at 8:00.

Sunday night, Jared was getting into bed and made the comment, "Little boy, you just need to wait 10 more hours." (We were worried that because Jared was layed up all weekend, and could barely walk, that I would go into labor even though it was a week too early.)Well, 3:00a.m. Monday morning! WAKE UP! Contractions galore! My water broke and I started into labor. I woke Jared up and told him that my water broke and he needed to get up and get ready to go to the hospital. He thought I was joking him because he made that comment. I showered and grabbed that hospital bags, while stoping and breathing through the contractions. The funny thing is while I would stop and breath through the contractions, Jared would stop and breath through the pain he was having from his back spasms.

So we are ready to go to the hospital and again it is taking 10min to get Jared out of the house and into the car. Jared could barely walk and he kept having back spasms so he couldn't drive. I loaded him and our bags into the car and climbed in the driver's seat.

The hospital is about 10-15min from our house, not a long drive. As we are driving along, luckily it was about 3:30a.m. and I started to have a contraction, so I just pulled over to the side of the road and breathed through it. Yes, again, Jared is breathing through another spasm. We only had to pull over twice, then we got to the Women's Center. I dropped Jared off at the door while I parked the car and carried the bags in. (I forgot to mention that he couldn't stand up straight either-the reason why I carried the bags)

We get inside and I start having another contraction so I stop and breath through it while Jared goes to the nurses station and tells them I am down the hall having contractions and need to c

heck in and he needs to go to the ER. So pretty funny, Jared goes to the ER while I am getting checked in with the nurse.

Ok, so you think oh my it couldn't get worse...well it does. He spends about 30min in the ER, the fastest I think they have ever been. (I worked at that hospital and the ER visits were usually hours) He comes back and the Anesthesiologist is in the room with me and over hears Jared say what kind of meds the ER gave him t o make it through the morning. He said "oh no, don't take that otherwise you'll be out the whole day and you won't remember anything." So he prescribed him some Valium.

At this point I'm thinking, no way is he going remember this day if

he is on Valium. (I've seen how Valium affects people) He takes the Valium and feels much better, but boy is he funny to watch on Valium! Ok it's time for the baby and what d'ya know, Jared is with

it and knows everything that is going on! I bet you didn't think it was going to end like that. It did, and Landon was born. 9:09a.m. 6lbs 11 oz 21in long. Sweet little boy!

This is the doctor Landon was named after. When I was 16 I was diagnosed with bone cancer. This is my Oncologist and he saved my life. He is a wonderful man!

Landon is now 8 months and weighs about 18lbs. He loves hanging out with his Daddy, especially on Tuesdays and Thursdays!

Korea

We went on vacation to Korea this summer. We had a lot of fun. It was quite an experience to be in another country and not know the language. Luckily, I had my own personal interpreter that translated everything for me!

There are a lot of dragon statues and decorations in Korea. This is one that we saw at the base of a large tower to over look the city. It's pretty cool, it has a bunch of writing on the front telling about the statue.

This picture was taken from the tower that over looks the city (Busan). I honestly could not believe how populated Korea was.

These are all the people from Jared's mission. There were a lot of people that came from America. We hung out with the Americans a lot which was nice for me because then I didn't have to ask Jared constantly what they were saying.

This is me at the fish market. These are fish tanks with live fish. You pick the one you want and they will cook it up for you and then you eat at the yellow tables behind me.

Our First House!

This is our new home! Our first home!

We have been homeowners for about two months now and we just love it!

This is a picture of our "pepto" pink kitchen. We are in the process of fixing it up right now so we don't have a current picture yet, but soon we will have before and after pictures to compare!

(I'm not sure how to flip the picture so it is just going to be sideways for now-sorry)
